Corona Virus (COVID-19) update: October 2020
We are happy to see patients for either face to face consultations or telephone consultations. RossHall hospital has worked hard to ensure that anyone attending can do so in a safe manner. Face coverings MUST now be used in all areas of the hospital except when eating in the restaurant.
We are also now back to full operative activity although some additional precautions are necessary. If you are scheduled to undergo a procedure or operation we ask patients to observe the following prior to coming in for their surgery
- You will be asked to observe social-distancing and hand hygiene measures for 14 days prior to admission
- You should minimise contact with others for 14 days prior to your procedure
- We will arrange for you to undergo a COVID-19 test as close to 72 hours before your admission (and obviously this must be negative!)
- You will be expected to self-isolate from the day of the COVID test until admission
- You will be asked to complete a screening questions on admission confirming you do not have any COVID-19 related symptoms and we will also ensure that your temperature is <37.8O
We continue to remain vigilant however and it may be that this guidance will change over the Winter months
